Team Scotland awarded by Awards For All Scotland

Awards For All Scotland has awarded £9,350 to the SDGA's Team Scotland. The SDGA is entering Team Scotland into the World Deaf Golf Championships this year, which are being hosted in Scotland for the first time. The SDGA believe this event will encourage many more young deaf and hard of hearing people to take up the sport. This grant will be used to pay for team clothing, practice costs and transport.

Dunhill Cup 2010

Seven players turned out at Glenisla Golf Club. There was a problem with balancing the teams so they decided to set up a temporary rule which would allow a single worst net score to be doubled for all two-player teams. Leslie Banks, Craig Rayment and Ross Speirs played for Glasgow who was the winning team last year. Scott Ritchie and Michael Tweedie went for Edinburgh, and Brian Maher & Kenneth Henderson played for Lanarkshire.

Edinburgh has won the Dunhill Cup 2010 with a net score of 203. Glasgow came second with a net score of 216. Lanarkshire managed to score a net team score of 227.

Leslie Banks was the winner of the Nearest the Pin. Michael Tweedie was the winner of the Longest Drive.
